Resin Courses
RESIN COURSES
Our Resin Courses are held at our relaxed friendly workshop in the Southwest of England. We run the courses 6 days out of each month ( Monday - Saturday please contact us on the ‘Contact Page’ form for the next available dates). Come along and have fun learning different techniques involved with creating timber and resin products. There is a course to suit everyone and we welcome you as a one to one, join a group or as a group of friends or family. Courses are usually no more than 4 people, unless by special arrangement.
INTRODUCTORY COURSE - £75.00 per person
Our introductory course starts with covering most aspects of resin mixing techniques, curing times, temperature importance as well as adding colour pigments. Learn how to apply the resin to your own board (provided), to create your very own masterpiece. We run through the correct application and gassing techniques for you to create your work of art, yours to keep and take away with you once the resin has fully cured in approximately 7 days. Overall this course will give you a really good insight into handling resin, gaining knowledge and confidence to create beautiful unique items in a fun, informal atmosphere. Course time: Approximately 2.5hours.
INTERMEDIATE COURSE - £150.00* per person
Our Intermediate course goes a step further and covers all aspects of creating your own resin river in a piece of solid timber (timber supplied at cost), including covering the preparation of the timber, colour resin application to make your very own Serving board / Charcuterie Board / set of Coasters / Table place mats and Clocks.
Course time: Approximately 5 / 6 hours (over two visits). We do however recommend that the introductory course is completed first as this covers the basics of the resin types, curing times, correct temperatures, mixing techniques and colour pigments.
All courses start at 10 am each day. We would recommend you wear an old T-shirt or overalls when attending. Gloves and masks will be provided on the day.
